First Birthday Party

Raegan attended her first birthday party. Her cousin Hunter turned 6 six years old this weekend. This is her with her cousin Casey, Hunter's Mom.

She enjoyed watching Madagascar and keeping a close eye on Hunter and his brothers. She finally fell out after cake in Mamaw's arms. Mamaw was surprised at how quickly she fell asleep. That's Raegan though; when she is tired, if she gets comfy she is out like a light.

She might as well have a crown because she is the boss.

Exersaucer

Raegan has become a pro in spinning in her exersaucer. I remember the second or third time we put her in it that she sqealed with delight! It was cute. It keeps her entertained a good 30 minutes, and as you can see it stays parked right by Mommy's computer.

Too Pooped to Play

I had laid Raegan down for a few minutes while I took care of something and when I checked on her this is what I found. When she is tired, once she gets still she is out. Her naps are usually right at 1 hour. She's training me pretty good. I know about when she'll nap each day, and it's almost becoming routine.

When she gets tired, she has a low growl she'll do. I'll try and get it on film. It's too cute.

Squirmy Wormy

Obviously this is not how I put Rae in the crib to sleep. She has gotten where she is pretty much moving all over the place, never knowing in the morning where she'll be.

One morning I woke up, checked her and she was in the same sleep position as when I laid her down. So I go and cook breakfast, come back for her and she is 90 degrees turned in the crib!

She's getting good a tummy time too. But still after 5 minutes she is ready for it to be over with!

I have a feeling I'll be a soccer mom as Raegan loves to kick. She is notorious for kicking off the covers. She never stayed swaddled for very long so we finally gave up going that route.

Too tired to Eat

I think Raegan will definitely be like her father in that she can fall asleep anywhere! Once she gets comfy she is out for the count!

Happy Valentine's Day

Happy Valentine's Day!! One year ago today we found out we were pregnant. It's hard to top such great news but having Raegan here has been such a blessing.

She's covering up the "100% Sweet" on her shirt. Since she has discovered her hands she loves to play with them.

First Snow Flurries!!

We went to visit Grandma in New Albany, MS this weekend. Friday night and Saturday there were snow flurries. There wasn't enough for accumulation though but still pretty exciting. These are some cousins trying to catch a few flakes.

First Food

Raegan's first taste of rice cereal! She wasn't too impressed. She still doesn't know what to think of the cereal in her mouth. She'll just sit there with her mouth open with a look of "What do I do now?"

I give her a little of her bottle to help wash it down, and she seems to appreciate that.

She stirs so I must go!

Four Month Checkup

Rae had her four month checkup last week which meant three more shots! She did good though, a little crying but since we are usually there about the time she is ready to eat I had a bottle ready and quickly gave that to her.

Her stats are:

Weight-- 13 lbs. 14 oz (50%)
Height-- 24 1/2 inches (50%)
Head-- 16 3/4 (90%!!!)

We've moved up the charts with the head this time!!

We got the OK to start cereals and introduce baby food. The ped also said to go ahead and introduce 2-4 ozs. of juice a day.

Year of the Rooster

Rae was born in the year of the Rooster. Her hair naturally stood on end like this when I was changing her clothes. I couldn't resist taking a picture.

Here's a little info about my little Rooster:
People born in the Year of the Rooster are deep thinkers, capable, and talented. They like to be busy and are devoted beyond their capabilities and are deeply disappointed if they fail. People born in the Rooster Year are often a bit eccentric, and often have rather difficult relationship with others. They always think they are right and usually are! (from http://www.c-c-c.org/chineseculture/zodiac/Rooster.htm)

Ut oh! Not only does she look like Daddy she may act like him!! :)

Super Bowl XL

Raegan watched her first Super Bowl game tonight. She was very vocal and seemed to be fussing at Seattle to get it in gear and play some ball. Her words of encouragement seemed to help as Seattle made a great interception and scored. The rally wasn't enough though, and by the time the fourth quarter rolled around, Rae was asleep.

Seattle lost to Pittsburgh. We were pulling for Pittsburgh to win but since we also pull for the Saints we feel we are a jinx to teams.

We usually watch a lot of TV in the bedroom. This will change as the weather gets warmer. It's too cool to stay downstairs for too long of a time.

I got this picture by accident. I was trying to tell what I was looking at on the camera. Think it's adorable though.

Four Months Old

Raegan is four months old today! Next week we go back to the doctor, and we will be giving her rice cereal. We've got the high chair, now to put it together. Here are some milestones that she'll hit this month:

Doing mini-pushups and is learning to roll over --She is getting close to rolling over
Digestive system is developing so can start solid foods
Grabbing at the things he wants
Can play alone for a bit --She entertains herself a lot
Can see more color --She's much more interested in toys and things catch her eye.
Baby is “picky” about who is around him --can definitely see this developing too.

She is great to entertain herself. This is her newest pastime..blowing bubbles.
